The main advantages are set out below, but one thing we did not expect were fish farmers to water flush the spreader, we thought it would be strong enough but we were pleasantly surprised when our Faroese agent told us that they were regularly being water flushed with no problems. We have a video below if you need convincing. Ask your regular supplier if their spreaders can do this without damaging them long term? 

Minimise system feed wastage:

• The BB’s high efficiency bearing unit allows significantly lower blower pressure for a given spread radius, (30% reported by most customers), so reducing feed breakage & fat melt.

Minimise site labour requirements:

• No routine maintenance required during the growth cycle, or any lubrication needed.
• Prototype units deployed on Norwegian extreme for weather sites in 2014 for testing, continued to spread feed 5 years later without any intervention, apart from pressure washing after life cycles. 
• Simple & rapid to assemble and deploy on site.
• Fit and forget

Minimise energy wastage:

• Significantly lower blower pressure needed for a given spread radius, so up to 30% less energy consumption. The stainless nozzle can be altered to give a bigger or smaller feed pellet radius to suit the cage requirements.
• We have one customer who wants security loops welded onto the bend and nozzle, they can then be secured together in case the nozzle ever comes adrift, it saves getting a diver out to retrieve it.
• We are always happy to do bespoke requirements.

Minimise capital investment wastage:

• Reliable life expectancy of the BB spreader significantly exceeds that of competing units. Wear proof stainless steel bends and nozzle  compliment the extremely long life bearing.
• Re-uses components of life expired equipment, when the BB upgrade kits are fitted to salvaged under-pipes & floats from other manufactures.
• The BB spreader upgrade simply bolts onto the existing under-pipes & floats.
• 2 year warranty on bearing housing, (Terms and conditions apply, new balls after 12 months IF required)
